Astronomy > Astronomiae Instauratae Progymnasmata

Tycho Brahe (1546-1601) left Astronomiae Instauratae Progymnasmata (1610), first published in 1602, unfinished at his death. The text is a continuation of his work on supernovae in De nova stella (1573) but also includes astronomical observations about fluctuations in the moon's orbit, a description of his instruments, and the locations of 777 stars. Kepler completed and published the book in 1602. Brahe's stellar measurements in the Progymnasmata also inform Kepler's Rudolphine Tables (1627).
