Although ketubbot look vastly different from one geographic location to another, they all include the same basic information: the date of the marriage, the names of the bride and groom, the location of the marriage, and the husband's responsibility to the wife. This marriage license from Sandur, in Kurdistan, is much simpler than those from Italy and Greece. The document legalizes the marriage between Leah, the daughter of Obadiah, and Ye'uda, son of Menashe, on Friday, October 8, 1688.
