This document, a seating chart for the high holidays, is part of archive relating to the Scuola Grande, a synagogue in Mantua.  The single row depicted at the top of the diagram contains the seats closest to the ark, where the Torah scrolls were kept.  Notable members with reserved seats include Gur Aryeh and Binyamin Ḥayyim Finzi, members of an important Italian Jewish family.  Four seats at the front of the room were reserved for rabbis.
